Tōtara Haumaru - new hospital building updates

Te Whatu Ora - Waitematā is undertaking major capital works at our North Shore Hospital campus to meet projected population growth in the northern region. The cornerstone of this programme is a new four-storey hospital building which will provide up to eight extra operating theatres, up to 150 beds and four new endoscopy suites. We will also be upgrading our water, gas and power infrastructure to ensure these services are resilient enough to support the hospital for the next 30 years. The work will be undertaken in stages and the new building is due for completion in 2023 and opening in 2024.
