Primary Health Organisations (PHOs)

Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) are funded by Te Whatu Ora districts.

They provide primary healthcare services for the enrolled population within their geographic location

There are two PHOs in the Waitematā region, which coordinate the services employing staff directly or through provider members


ProCare Networks Limited

ProCare supports more than 1200 GPs and general practice staff throughout the greater Auckland region
They provide community-based healthcare in their GP clinics

Comprehensive Care 

Comprehensive Care in Association with Waitemata PHOComprehensive Care funds and supports 50 General Practice teams across the north and west of Auckland

A large team are part of a network engaged in support of patients through family medical centres
