Includes representatives from the areas of surgery, anaesthesia, intensive care, interventional radiology, nutrition, nursing.
Meets quarterly to improve the quality of care for UGI cancer patients through:
- identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives
- clinical review and audit of all patients who have had an UGI cancer operation
Department of Surgery
The upper GI unit is part of the Department of Surgery at North Shore Hospital and participates in the department's weekly journal club and audit process.
