Mental Health Services

The Waitematā District Health Board (WDHB) is New Zealand's largest provider of mental health and addiction services, providing services for infants, children, youth, adults, and the over 55 age group.

Mental health, addiction, and forensic mental health services are all available, as well as specialised support for Māori and Pasifika peoples. Our forensic mental health and addiction services are available throughout the greater Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) metro region.

To ensure expanded access and choice Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services collaborate and partner with a variety of mental health non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and primary health organisations (PHOs) throughout the WDHB region.
