• Many people suffering from eating disorders prefer to keep symptoms hidden and do not always welcome intervention
• Eating disorders are serious medical and psychiatric conditions that in some cases can be terminal
• Early identification in primary health is vital to enable access to the appropriate mental health or medical service
• If you are experiencing an eating disorder and would like to receive help, ask your GP to make a referral to your local Community Mental Health Team
